The WA Games Indsutry Council (WAGIC) hosts a quarterly playtesting event for WA game developers called Let’s Break Games. So far, we've held three successful events in February, May, and August, with an ever-growing number of attendees. On November 3rd, we’re organising a special student-focused edition of Let’s Break Games to give students in game development and related fields a chance to showcase their games at the end of the semester. This can be for fun or even tied to an assignment.

This event is a great opportunity for students to meet established developers, network with peers, and expand their connections within the WA game development community. We’re welcoming student teams from all WA universities and TAFEs, and we’d love for your students to join us!

Event Details Date/Time: Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM Bump in: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Bump out: 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM Location: The RISE, Maylands

If you’re teaching, or know someone who is teaching, a game development class (whether it’s video games, tabletop, card games, or VR), we encourage you to give your students the opportunity to participate. Here’s the link to our Expression of Interest form for student teams: [Let's Break Games November EOI] (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfJTm5Lc3HOSy_oQY5JU2-CRdLq87tumJP-JtRaizmhZEB_qA/viewform).

Participation for staff and student teams is free, but general admission tickets for friends and family of students are $15, with discounted tickets for non-showcasing students at $7.50.
