Value $18,000 TAX FREE ACS Foundation scholarship
Western Power builds, maintains and operates the electricity network in the South 
West and Metropolitan WA, and delivers safe, reliable & affordable energy supply to 
the WA community.
Western Power is offering a 6-month Work Integrated Learning scholarship for a 
budding IT Developer to join their Application Development Team. The successful 
candidate will be mentored by the Project Delivery team, working in an Agile 
Scrum/Kanban environment. This role will see you working on code related 
deliverables in Java/.Net and Sharepoint.
Required Skills/Knowledge
 Good communication skills - oral and written
 Interest in software development process and software lifecycle
 Solid coding skills – Java, .Net
 Good understanding of database – SQL or Oracle
 Team player
Desired Skills
 Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and technical documentation
 Good time management
 Well organised
 Adept with technology with a strong thirst for new technologies
 Strong analytical skills and effective problem solving ability
You must be studying toward a recognised qualification in Information Technology / 
Information Systems. Graduates may apply but must be willing to enrol in a post 
graduate unit.
