Hi, I'm not really sure about some of the terminology used in the lecture today. The main one is a "word". I have done a little bit of reading and am still relatively unsure, if you could explain what specifically it is and what we use it for that would be great.

A very good expanded definition of a 'word' in the context of computer architecture can be found on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Word_(computer_architecture) (Wikipedia receives a lot of undeserved criticism for being 'dumbed-down', but in the area of Computer Science (Wikipedia's first subject area) its information is very accurate and well curated for readability). You mentioned '...some of the terminology...' Anything else?
