Hi all, Welcome to CITS3001 Advanced Algorithms! We hope to see you soon in the lectures, but if you need to reach out to us, please first use help3001 for anything that can be asked publicly, and for anything else use the unit email address cit*3*0*-*s*e@u*a*e*u*au to make sure your email goes to the right place. We have had some students asking about why there are so many hours of lectures for this unit. For some reason we were allocated 2 hour lecture spots, but we do not intend to use the full duration. We are aiming for 1 hour lectures, but we may use the leeway to run a bit overtime as needed or to be able to answer questions. We do not expected to regularly run over by a significant amount. So you do not need to worry about keeping up with 4 hours of lectures each week. It may also allow us to give extra time for the mid-semester test. Cheers, Gozz CITS3001 Co-UC
