The Girls Programming Network
https://www.girlsprogramming.network/perth is a great outreach activity which has gone from strength to strength since it moved to UWA last year.
High school girls are guided through writing Python programs, and they have fun and pizza and generally see that studying and working in Computer Science is a good thing! Participation and tutoring is open for women, trans and non-binary folks.
Please consider volunteering for a few hours on March 9th as a tutor.
We have had an fabulous response to our Term 1 2024 Perth GPN on Saturday 9th March (127 student registrations and still over 2 weeks to go!)
We need more tutors to sign up to help out on the day to have that great student/tutor ratio that makes the day so great.
If you can come on the day, it would be greatly appreciated. Please add your name asap via this google form:

For those signing up, our Tutor Briefing Session for the event will be held online 7:30 – 8:15 pm next Tuesday 27th February (link below). We will also send out a summary of the tutor briefing session by email after the meeting in case you can’t make it.
