This forum is provided to promote discussion amongst students enrolled in CITS3002 Computer Networks.

Please consider offering answers and suggestions to help other students! And if you fix a problem by following a suggestion here, it would be great if other interested students could see a short "Great, fixed it!"  followup message. How do I ask a good question?

The implementations of the standard CRC algorithms are certainly not examinable, and Labsheet-1 reinforced this by only treating the CRCs as 'black-boxes', which we called as functions, and they returned a result. You should know what CRCs are, why they are useful, why the more-complex ones are better than the simpler ones (Labsheet-1), and their limitations.
