mid-semester test CRC's Examinable? (both)

Doing some revision and would love clarification as to what level of depth we should be understanding Cyclic Redundancy Codes (CRC) for the unit, particularly the upcoming mid sem exam. Noticed the lecture recording mentioned not examinable prior to overviewing CRC, yet the labsheet 1 q2 featured the 3 industry standard CRC algorithms. Thanks in advance!
