This afternoon I thought I would try using make for question 1. I had some trouble with it initially, but found a solution. This is probably applicable for those people using Ubuntu on a Windows 10 machine through WSL

I tried 'sudo apt update gcc', but this didn't fix the problem.

However after running this command:

sudo apt install build-essential

make worked for me. I got the answer from
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1095168/command-not-found-cc-make-error-127

I had the same problem since I am using WSL on windows 10 home. It worked for me but
somehow, the executable file didn't seem to produce but only the object files.

I realized that something was wrong because there was no Executable file present. After
viewing the entire lecture video, i typed "make" in the shell, and finally the "calmarks"
executable file appeared.
