Hi Chris,
I have gone through the 2018 final exam paper. Most questions require us to explain
our opinions with appropriate examples or theories. Only one question is related to
command. And the style is the same as the final exam for this semester.

Hello, I agree with your statements (though I wouldn't describe anything in this unit as
involving any theory).

However, I didn't see a question asked in your post.

Hi Chris,
On the exam day, the password to the exam is necessary. My another unit announced that the
password will be available on lms 15 minutes before the start of the exam. For this unit, the
password will be available on our website or on lms? Thanks.

The exam password will be on LMS (not our unit's webpage).

(I have had nothing to do with the setting up or running of our Examplify exam, other than just preparing
the exam's questions in the required format)

Hi Chris,
  1) Just want to double check that we can use sheets of blank paper to help me plan my answers in the final
exam, and this behaviour will be not treated as a cheat.
  2) Although the semester is almost completed, will you still release marks for 2 assignments?

Yes, you may use blank paper to plan your answers (somewhere UWA has redefined closed-book exams as permitting paper for
taking notes).

Yes; focussing on my 3rd year unit which has their exam tomorrow, but am planning on returning all assignment marks
before your exam (surprisingly, some extensions are still going...)

Online exams are new territory for me, and one thing I've been wondering about is whether the fact the exam is online changes
the expectation around the length of our answers, given I suspect many of us can type faster than we can handwrite these days?

Will the expectation be to provide longer and more detailed answers than the 2018 exam, given we are completing the exam on a
computer?

Either way, I won't miss the inevitable hand cramp that comes from a two hour handwritten exam!

Hi Lee,

No, no expectation to write more, just because we're typing.

If you were on campus, writing your answers in the standard UWA exam booklets, then (most students) would answer a 10-mark question on 2-3
pages of the booklet, producing reasonable answers in that space. And, because of the stresses during an exam, students usually write
large, 5 words per line. Correct answers, achieving full marks, don't require long flowing essays.
