I am a foreigner so I know little about the name in this excel.
For example ,there is a name called "Van Impe, Mrs. Jean Baptiste (Rosalie Paula
Govaert)".
What is her surname? Is there any rule to find the surname?

Her surname is "Van Impe".
In all cases, it's everything before the comma.

Think of it as a field with two subfields: FamilyName, PersonalName

And we know of a number of commands for dealing with fields!

Thank you for your replying! And I have another question. I notice that you require a
family should at least comprise 2 people. Do you mean we should ignore those surname
which appears only once?

Yes, for this exercise, a family must have 2 or more people.
All others (individual people) do not get reported.
