> Hello, I want to ask if there would be penalisation if the submitted codes do not function properly due to different OS? Since I'm an online student and MacBook Pro is the only laptop that I have, I can't test my codes on a different OS, let alone the lab computers. I guess there could be a possibility that my code does not work / takes longer elapsed time in the computer used to test the codes. Cheers
If you are on an older MacBook, Bash is the default shell when you use the Terminal command. Newer models use Zsh, which is very much like bash. There are some differences with the various commands, but the differences, if present, are not huge. In other words, if your program does sensible things on a Mac it will do so under testing. That said, installing the Docker app and then running the Docker instance created by Daniel is pretty easy; instructions are in the first lab. Cheers MichaelW
