Hi, Without looking at your code (which would be unethical in these circumstances) it's hard to know, but things I can suggest are: *) Did you translate upper case to lower case, as in the lectures. The assignment spec says not to. *) It is possible it may come down to the version of Alice you are using. The one I used in lectures has a range of non ASCII characters removed. I did not bother to do that for the 10 example files. That may, or may not, make a difference. Use cat -vet to see if your files have the non-ASCII characters. If they are present, cat -vet makes them obvious because the display generally renders them correctly so they look right. Don't forget that all testing will be done on my datasets, so the results should be consistent from that point of view. Cheers MichaelW
