Would the program be tested against files with BOM characters (i.e. cat -vet $file)? For my program, I've managed to remove non-sensible characters such as '$' and '^'. But when I manually tested the program on cat -vet $file, my results are affected since the highest occurrence is 'M', which I assumed is from the BOM character "$M^", where only '$' and '^' are removed. So just asking if files with BOM characters would be a test data during marking? Cheers
