Hi Michael, I have similar questions, and would really like to see an example of longer text to examine whether my code would fit into the 10% margin as personal interpretation could really varies between individuals.
>From my point of view, one should not be marked down by following the given definition from the assignment brief.
For example, by following the given definition, I did not classify "pickin'-up" as compound nor contraction. As a result, my word count for compound and contraction were both short of 1 comparing to the sample answer. In this particular case, I can and I am happy to simply modify my code to consider "'-" and "-'" words as valid compound and contraction. But, is this the solution you would recommend? I am very concerned about there will be more stylistic variation in text you use to test the program which I failed to foresee.
