Hi Peter, If you stick with the formula (which is quite silly in this case) your solution will be the same as (or close to) the sample one. Remember, all standards are equally arbitrary choices, it's just that one that people have agreed to. Think QWERTY keyboard. This is just a programming exercise, and for that purpose, my simple-minded definition of a sentence is as good as any other. Fair enough? Cheers MichaelW
