Hi Michael, I know we must count contractions but not possessives in the 2nd Assignment. Furthermore, I see you've defined possessives as “a simple word followed by an apostrophe (i.e. in effect single quote), which in turn is immediately followed by "s"” and a contraction as “a simple word followed by an apostrophe, followed by other alphabetics, e.g. "won't", "shouldn't"”. By “other alphabetics” does this refer to letters other than “s”, or does it include “s”? If the latter is true, the problem is much more difficult as words like “it’s” are both followed by s and a contraction. Cheers!
