Hi There is a longer discussion at Monday's lecture, but the short version is that the exam is 1 1/2 hrs, online (LMS) and open book (which means the internet, and especially the man pages). What is not okay is asking friends or copying things you find on the internet (though I have taken more care this time to ask things that are not readily found via Google searches). The test will be invigilated via MS-Teams, but this time it's being organised at the School level rather than by me. Content. Minimal theory. The first test focused on Bash and the collection of Shell tool. You will not be surprised to learn that the focus of Test2 is on Awk, Sed, regular expressions, and less on Bash and Shell tools (though don't disappear from the picture). Sample exam. Sorry, I'm struggling to put the final exam together very belatedly. However, I have placed the script for the first test on the Teams CITS2003 and CITS4407 sites. (I placed the Ass1 automarking scripts there the other day.) Beyond that, the labs are an excellent place to look for guidance. Good luck Cheers MichaelW
