Hi Michael, If our program calls other scripts we've written, (e.g. style_cmp calling a normalise script ./normalise), should we make those scripts executable in style_cmp (e.g. chmod +x normalise), and if so can we assume we have the permissions to do so? Thanks

When you submit your assignment, you are submitting a zipped folder. The files inside the folder retain all the permissions they had before you zipped it - so if your scripts are already executable you won't need to chmod them again
