Please contact me by email directly if you have concerns about your project marks. The average score for project 2 was around 75 .

It seems the project 2 marks have been made available on csmarks. May I know where should the inquiry about the project goes? And what is the average score for the project?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to release the marks for Project 2 before the exam. The deadline extensions (due to the Setonix issues) have delayed marking significantly.

Hi Marcell, Will we receive our Project2 marks before the exam? Thank you

I wrote the exam, but I discussed the content that you have covered with Amitava. He also double checked the exam to make sure I didn't write any questions on content that you haven't covered. There is no further adjustment in the marking. The purpos...

hi marcell curious about if you or amitava wrote the exam, since there are bits of the first half of the semester that amitava would skip and say i will not test you on this, but there is a lot he skipped, so do we revise these now? also had a question...

If you have some one minute experiments from Setonix, you can use other one minute experiments for comparison. But you should try to do longer experiments (i.e. 10 minutes) where you can.

My current idea is to reduce the time limit from ten minutes to one minute. This way, I can make full use of the experimental data I have obtained. Is that okay?

This might happen depending on how much memory you have on your laptop. This is perfectly fine -- you'll simply have to explain this observation in your report. You can still talk about how your implementation scales below these values, and then expl...

Hi, We are conducting tests on our laptop, and I have observed that when running the program locally, the bottleneck for matrix multiplication shifts from the CPU to the memory. Saying when the size of the matrices exceeds 50000, dynamic memory alloca...

Please submit under CITS3402 (even if you re enrolled in CITS5507). It should be titled Second Programming Project .

I can not see the Project 2 cssubmit submission point. Can anyone please confirm about it.

SVG not supported 7:36pm Wed 23rd Oct, Marcell S.

Yes, this should be a good place to stop. It is also a good idea to write about this in your report.

Hi, I ve been testing sequential matrix multiplication on my local laptop. Once I reached a matrix size of 105,000 x 105,000, the system started using swap memory, which impacted performance. I decided to stop at this point despite not reaching the...

Yes, how you generate your matrix has to match how you multiply your matrix to get the best performance possible for each configuration.

If you still cannot see your feedback on csmarks, please reach out to me by email so I can send you your feedback individually. Apologies, we are having trouble with making the feedback accessible on csmarks.

SVG not supported 1:49pm Sat 19th Oct, ANONYMOUS

The marks are already on csmarks. But if you are requesting more details, I'd say good luck.

Hello, Myself and others still cannot access feedback from project 1 on csmarks. Can we expect to get individual or at least general feedback before project 2 is due? Without feedback, it's likely that mistakes from the first project will carry over i...

Thank you for that response sir. Just to confirm that means we have to generate the matrices sequentially, with openMP, MPI and OpenMP MPI?

Yesterday everything works well, however today when I tried to so submit a job, it just put it into the queue and do nothing. I haven't reached the limitation of usage. By "squeue --m" the message looks "Priority 12 49 22 TIME LEFT 10 00", the time l...
