Hi Long, I'm currently in Sydney. Opinions differ about how to heck it is (which is why I live now in Perth). <GRIN> I can assure you, while you could use awk for just about any of the questions, the Quiz strictly relied on the material covered in the lectures. Anything else would be grossly unfair, and frankly pointless; if I add a question that almost no-one can answer, what statistically useful information do I have? Cheers MichaelW
