That snippet of code was designed to be xhtml compliant (XHTML ran parallel to HTML4, 
and was superseded by HTML5 as I'm sure everyone recalls from project 1).

Prior to 2017 CITS3403 had an expectation that code was xhtml comliant. HTML5 is much
