Hi Arran, will the supplementary exam follow the same format as the final exam? Also, would you clarify the passing criteria for the supplementary exam? Is it achieving more than 50% of the supplementary exam or the total mark of the unit? Many thanks!

Hi,

The supplementary exam will follow a similar format to the original exam.

The way grades are calculated are the same as for any other unit. Searching for "supplementary exams" on the UWA site should provide you with the details.

The linked webpage states

If you pass your supplementary exam, you’ll receive a grade of PS (Pass Supplementary). No mark will show on your record; however, a mark of 50 per cent will be used to calculate your weighted average mark (WAM) and grade point average (GPA).

If you fail your supplementary exam, you’ll receive a grade of FS (Fail Supplementary). The original mark will show on your record and can be used to calculate your WAM and GPA you received.
