Will some sort of summary or idea of what will be done in the workshops be provided or is it only available if we come to the workshop?

Hi Maktoom.

Yes, normally I will post a workshop exercise sheet on the website before the workshop - this week's is now up at
http://teaching.csse.uwa.edu.au/units/CITS5501/resources/.

I will usually post some suggested answers later in the week - I will normally aim to have them up by COB Friday.

If you work through the exercises and solutions, and read through relevant sections of the textbook, you can potentially get by without coming
to the workshop. (I'd suggest it's still worth getting notes from someone who did attend, though, as we might discuss topics or questions raised
by students that aren't mentioned in the exercise sheet or suggested solutions.)

Does that answer your question?

cheers

Arran
