Hi Here are some queries that you too may have wondered about. The response follows each query

Cheers MichaelW

  1. I would like to ask if I need to add the .sh extension (cyber_breaches.sh) to my script filename, as the sample queries in the assignment brief don't use it. Could you please let me know if it's necessary or optional?

Please use the precise name I have defined (otherwise my testing program will not see your code as the name will be different from what is expected).

  1. Do I need to make cyber_breaches runnable from everywhere, without the need to specify "./"?

Don’t worry about the PATH. I need to fix that in any case

  1. What should be the name of the zipped file? Should it be cyber_breaches.gz if I am using the gzip command to compress it?

The name of the zipped file doesn’t matter (which is why I didn’t specify it). What will happen is that, whatever you call the zip file, it will be mapped to your student ID.

  1. Could you please guide me on how to submit the assignment as I am unable to find any information on LMS?

The submission portal is on cssubmit. There is a link in the Assignment 1 description, which is attached to the Weekly Schedule. When you go there you will see submission portals for CITS2003 and for CITS4407 and then to Assignment 1.
