Hi Chris, I have read through posts in the help forum but I just want to seek better clarification on some guaranteed info that will be provided. From my understanding Things that we are guaranteed and do not need to report errors on are: - Both estimate and crontab file will consist of at most 20 non comment lines - Each command line will be at most 100 characters and each command name is at most 40 character long - All commands that are in crontab file will exist in estimate file but there may be commands in estimate file that do not exist in crontab file - All command lines in crontab consists of 6 words separated by white space(s) - All command lines in estimate consists of 2 words separated by white space(s) - At most 20 processes will ever be executing at the same time - If a month or day is provided as char and not number it is guaranteed to be 3 characters and lowercase. (mon, tue,….sun) or (jan, feb….dec) - The month given to us in command line argument is correct at all time (so either is 0-11 or jan-dec) Things that we must report errors from: - If a minute value exceed 59 - If an hour value exceed 23 - If day value exceeds the maximum days in its specified month - If a month value exceed 11 or doesn’t match any of the strings in {jan, feb … dec} - If a day of week value exceed 6 or doesn’t match any of the strings in {mon, tue, … sun) - If number of argument is incorrect ( cmd line argument) - If file doesn’t exist or can’t open file. Please let me know if any of my understanding is a mistake. I apologise in advance, my English isn't very good so I just want to triple check the requirements
