Would it be sufficient to just install the Xcode Command Line Tools (which is significantly smaller) without the full Xcode application? I'm able to make and cc with just the former installed.

I got user input from the arguments passed when invoking the program without using the scanf() function (like how rotate.c works). But using scanf() should be also a possible approach.

You don't have to modify the code to accept multiple arguments in the sense that argvalue already contains all the arguments passed to the program. You can see this with the following program This program prints out all the arguments passed ...
