13. What is the primary difference between an Ethernet hub and an Ethernet switch? I understand the primary difference between an Ethernet Hub and a Switch is how they handle packets. A Hub will forward the packet to all ports except the port that the packet originated from, and a Switch will only forward the packet to the port that has the destination MAC associated with it. My question is, do we also need to extend our answer by writing there is a caveat to Switches, where they may act like a Hub when the destination MAC address of the received packet is not known? Thanks.
