You are welcome to change, add to, or extend the starting code in any way you wish. The sample solution has about 22 functions in addition to the 3 empty ones in the starting code. Some of the functions are as few as 5 lines long, but they are called from multiple places, while the core execute_commands() function is about 140 lines long.
