Just wanted to clarify my understanding of the state transitions. Can a process that is undergoing a state transition, consume time (in parallel with this transition that is happening on the CPU) in non-CPU related things i.e. using the databus. I know in the workshop it was mentioned that a process that called sleep would undergo a transition from RUNNING -> BLOCKED on the CPU but would also be able to use that transition time (in parallel) to sleep (on the blocked queue). Would that work for the data bus i.e. a process that is shifting to the databus and (thus) transitioning state, can start to use the databus while its state is being transitioned on the CPU? Hope this makes sense.
