I guess another question is whether a sleeping process would wake up if the state transitions from other processes changing state took it to its wake-up time, or if it would still just move onto the next ready process (based on the hierarchy being interpreted as only holding valid for a single time) and run that for another 100usecs or however long it needs to run for (this would obviously mean that the sleeping process woke up more than 100usecs later than it should.
